Share of media ad spends in India 2016-2024, by channel
With an increasing focus on digital media, the share of ad expenditure on television in India declined to 40 percent in 2022. Digital came in second with 35 percent of the ad spends, reflecting a steady rise in digital ad expenditure since 2016. Forecasts further predicted that digital ad spending will surpass television by 2023, making digital the leading advertising channel in the country.
