Share of non-decent homes in England 2006-2021, by tenure
Private rented households had the highest percentage of non-decent dwelling conditions at 22 percent in 2022, while social housing had the lowest percent with 10 percent. For all tenure types, the percentage of non-decent dwellings has fallen from 2006 to 2022. In 2022, there were around 24 million homes in England and about 3.7 million were considered non-decent.
