Net trading income in foreign exchange transactions of ABN AMRO Group 2013-2023
The total net trading income in foreign exchange transactions of ABN AMRO Group decreased overall from 2015 to 2023. In 2023, the total net trading income in foreign exchange transactions reached a value of approximately 143 million euros. This is an increase when compared to the previous year. In the Netherlands, a few large institutions dominate its financial markets. In 2021, for example, the five largest Dutch credit institutions, which includes ING, Rabobank and ABN AMRO, held approximately 85 percent of the total assets. Secondly, the Dutch banking sector is one of the most concentrated in Europe.
