Number of marriages in Germany 1991-2022

In 2022, there were a total of 390,743 marriages in Germany. This was an increase of over 30,000 compared to the previous year. 2018 saw the highest number of marriages in recent years, this is probably because that was the year that same-sex marriage was legalized in Germany.
