Private health insurance coverage in Brazil 2022, by age group
As of December 2022, approximately 25.2 percent of the population in Brazil had private health insurance coverage. The highest share of individuals with private health insurance in the South American country pertained to the population older than 80 years, with more than four in every ten privately insured by that time. Adults aged between 70 and 79 followed, with a private health insurance coverage rate of about 33 percent.
