Poland 2016: antibiotic use to stimulate growth in farm animals is banned in the EU
This statistic displays the share of respondents in Poland who were aware that stimulating farm animal growth with antibiotics was banned in the EU in 2018. Antibiotics are medications that can kill or hinder the growth of bacteria which cause infections in people and animals. In 2018, 50 percent of respondents in Poland said that they did not know that using antibiotics to stimulate growth in farm animals is banned within the EU, this was below the European 28 average at 58 percent.
