CHP installations: fuel used to generate heat in the UK 2010-2018, by type
This statistic displays the fuel use for heat generation from Combined Heat and Power (CHP) schemes in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2010 to 2018, by fuel type, in gigawatt hours. It shows that the amount of renewable fuels used in CHP schemes increased over this period, from 3,114 gigawatt hours in 2010 to 6,224 gigawatt hours in 2018. The use of natural gas decreased over this period, but is still by far the largest source for heat generation in CHP installations.
