This statistic displays the distribution of consumer spending on music at retail in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2016, by retailer. In 2016, iTunes accounted for 18.8 percent of music sales, down from 23.1 percent in the previous year. Amazon's share in music consumer spending increased compared to 2015, from 26.7 percent to 27.8 percent. Music specialist HMV had the second highest share at 20.4 percent.
