Physicians in the U.S. satisfaction in work-life balance 2011-2014
This statistic displays the satisfaction with work-life balance among U.S. physicians in 2011 and 2014. Of the physicians surveyed in 2014, 30.3 percent agreed that their work schedule left sufficient time for personal and/or family life. Burnout syndrome and work-related stress can impair a person's physical and mental well-being. It is suggested that many physicians experience professional burnout and can lead to negative impacts such as broken relationships, problematic alcohol use, and suicidal ideation.
