This statistic shows the result of a question from the British Social Attitudes survey which asked how the respondents think immigration policy should change, if at all. The results have been split here by age group. The majority of respondents across all age groups said they were in favour of reducing immigration levels. There was, however, a positive correlation with age. Of the 25 to 34 year olds 67 percent wanted to see a reduction, whilst 87 percent of 65 to 97 year olds were of this opinion.
