Number of 3 to 21 year olds with specific learning disabilities, U.S. 1990-2022
In the academic year of 2021-2022, there were approximately 2.36 million persons ages 3- to 21-years-old in the United States with specific learning disabilities who were covered by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This is a slight increase from the previous year, when about 2.35 million individuals with specific learning disabilities were served by IDEA.
