Share of total trade flows in Southern Africa 2017-2040, by state type
In Southern Africa, trade flows are highest in maritime states. In 2017, the total international and regional trade carried out by countries of maritime states, including South Africa, Angola, and Namibia, represented 92 percent of the trade flows in Southern Africa. In 2040, the share is expected to reach 89 percent for maritime states, and eight percent for landlocked states.
