Camel production volume in Ethiopia 2010-2020
The production volume of camels that were slaughtered in Ethiopia amounted to over 221,460 heads as of 2020. Compared to the previous year, this was an increase from nearly 195,760 heads. The number of camel heads butchered for meat production in the country was lowest between 2014 and 2016 at around 140,000 heads, while it peaked in 2020 during the period observed.
