Food affordability score in Egypt from 2012-2022
In 2022, the food affordability score in Egypt reached 65.2 points. This was an decline compared to the previous year when the score was 66.8, and the highest punctuation since 2012. The current overall food security environment score in the country was 56 points out of 100. Food affordability, availability, quality and safety, as well as sustainability and adaptation made up the four major categories of the Global Food Security Index (GFSI).
