As of 2015, West Java province in Indonesia had a backlog of 2.32 million housing units, reflecting the number of Indonesian households in the province left which were supposed to own a house. To lower the number of housing backlog, the Indonesian government launched the "One million houses" program aiming to build one million houses each year.
