In 2017, Jordan had the highest gender gap in the share of bank account owners at about 30 percent. The average gender gap in the share of bank account owners in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region was about 49 percent. Countries in conflict and in transition showed smaller employment growth than the rest in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
