Mobile streaming and TV average session length, by country
According to a 2020 study of TV and video streaming consumers in eight representative country markets, cable TV is still stronger than mobile streaming based on average session length. Consumers in the United States reported spending more than 100 minutes per session watching content via cable TV, and less than 80 minutes on their smartphones. By comparison, Chinese consumers reported spending an average of 71.4 minutes on mobile streaming, and less than 70 on cable TV.
