Consumer reasons for shopping in person in US Q2 2021, by gender
According to the results of a May 2021 survey among ran consumers in the United States, the leading reason for shopping in person in physical stores was the immediate availability of products. This was slightly more important to female shoppers than male shoppers, with a share of 60 percent versus 56 percent, respectively. Experiencing the product before buying it was the second most popular reason for in person shopping according to more than half of both female and male consumers. Avoiding having to make a return/exchange followed as the third most popular reason in the list. However this was significantly more important to female shoppers than male shoppers.
