E-Finance financial performance in Egypt 2017-2019
E-Finance, an Egyptian state-owned enterprise that underwent the Egyptian government privatization program, saw its financial performance improve at all levels in recent years. Revenues stood at 984 million Egyptian pounds (comparable to 62.83 million U.S. dollars) in 2019, which was an increase from 733 million Egyptian pounds (around 46.8 million U.S. dollars) the year before. The same trend can be recognized with regards to gross profit, EBITDA, and net profit, reaching 440 million Egyptian pounds (close to 28.1 million U.S. dollars), 343 million Egyptian pounds (approximately 21.9 million U.S. dollars), and 271 million Egyptian pounds (corresponds to 17.3 million U.S. dollars), respectively. The company processed 1.1 trillion Egyptian Pounds (70 billion U.S. dollars) of e-payments in 2019.
