Prevalence of malnutrition among children in Libya 2022, by condition
As of 2022, malnutrition was widespread among children under five years of age in Libya. Over 38 percent of them suffered from chronic malnutrition. The lack of access to adequate nutrition for a long period usually causes stunting since the child's body does not have enough nutrients to grow. As of the same year, there was a 10 percent prevalence of acute malnutrition in Libya, which manifests itself in the form of wasting.
