In a survey conducted in 2019, 75 percent of respondents in Japan believed that men had more opportunities in their country when it came to getting high-paying jobs. Comparatively for the same survey, just one percent of respondents in South Korea believed that women had more opportunities in their country when it came to getting high-paying jobs. Additionally, in terms of who had more opportunities when it came to getting high-paying jobs, 77 percent of respondents in the Philippines believed that men and women were equal in this respect.
