Share of adults in Ghana who have the right to vote 1906-2021
As of 2021, the share of adult citizens in Ghana with the legal right to vote stood at 100 percent of the population. This was the situation between 1951 and 2021. However, only 20 percent of this population segment had the right to vote between 1946 and 1950. Overall, the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana allowed every Ghanaian citizen who is 18 years and above to be registered as a voter to exercise their right to vote in public elections and referenda.
