China's share in the global e-cigarette industry 2019
As of 2019, China produced around 90 percent of all electronic cigarettes manufactured worldwide, but accounted for only three percent of the global e-cigarette consumption. For many years, China had neither national standards nor strict regulations regarding e-cigarette production, quality supervision, safety, etc. By the end of 2018, the country introduced a series of regulatory policy documents and is likely to strengthen the supervision of the e-cigarette industry development.
