Nuclear electricity generation in Romania 1996-2022
Romania's first commercial nuclear power reactor began operation in 1996, generating 1.4 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity. By the turn of the century this had increased to 5.5 Twh, and by 2010 had increased further to 11.6 TWh. Generation remained stable over the following decade, and by 2022 amounted to 11.1 TWh.
